Francophones and Cultural and Linguistic Sensitive Care

For: Providers in Ontario.

Services Offered: A free, asynchronous online course provided by Ontario Health (West) that supports learnings to gain knowledge about cultural and linguistic sensitive care, Francophones in Ontario, and understanding the active offer of French Language Services.

Course Format: 6-hour learning program that can be completed asynchronously. This program includes modules, interactive case studies, quizzes, reflections, and evaluations.

FLS Active Offer Training

For: Individuals studying or working in health care or other related field.

Services Offered: French and English training on the Active Offer of French Language Health Services and why it matters.

eQUITY Link: French Language Health Services

For: People working in the health, social, and community services sectors.

Services Offered: In addition to the courses offered on the eQUITY Link platform, there is a resource library that aims to support the development and improvement of French Language Services.

French Language Tools & Resources

For: Health providers in Ontario.

Services Offered: Resources from a federal Francophone Health Network and a provincial French Language Health Planning Entity.

Orientation to the Care of Older Adults

For: Health and social care providers interested in the care of older adults living with frailty, health and social care providers new to geriatrics.

Services Offered: A tiered and active approach to relevant and progressive professional development through the Provincial Common Orientation (PCO).

Learners build initial geriatrics knowledge, then develop additional skills by engaging in enhanced learning activities.

Course Format: 11-week virtual facilitated series on Fridays OR Tuesdays from 1:30-3:30 ET over Zoom.
