Education Opportunity: Wound Care


The North West Regional Wound Care Program (NW RWCP) in partnership with Wounds Canada and Nipissing University are offering Conservative Sharp Wound Debridement, Biopsy & Suturing.

September 28 & 29, 2026 | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM | Georgian Room, Heritage Building, Thunder Bay, ON

Who should attend?

Regulated healthcare professionals whose scope of practice includes advanced wound management and who want to build skills in conservative sharp wound debridement, minor surgical procedures, biopsy, and suturing.

Cost & Requirements

  • Prerequisite: online course Best Practice Approach to Skin Health and Wound Management: Knowledge (A100MNN) - $165 + HST

  • OR an existing credential: SHARP, AWCCP, IIWCC, SWAN, NSWOCC, or MSc-WH

  • Hands-on Skills Lab: $325 + HST (includes faculty instruction, materials, and follow up webinar)

Mini Offloading Clinic & Workshop

A hands-on session on offloading and Diabetic Foot Ulcer (DFU) management covering:

  • DFU assessment

  • Evidence-based offloading principles

  • Hands-on application of offloading devices

  • Case discussions and strategies to improve healing, prevent recurrence and limb loss
